Series of temples are present on the banks of Ganga and whom one can visualise and visit having a boat tour in Ganga river . One can also walk on the banks of river on the ghats of Ganga to take the tour. Of these the important ones and one which I visited are

Dear Soul Mates,

In last post I had mentioned my visit to Grishneshwar Temple . At around 12.30 PM  We reached Daulatabad Fort at Daulatabad city near Aurangabad which was our last destination.  Frankly speaking words and pictures cannot describe the beauty, strength, toughness and scenes of the mighty fort . One has to visit this TITANIC STURDY SHIELD to feel the awesomeness to fullest.

2nd October 2012

Dear Soul Mates ,

We got up at early morning 4.30 AM since we had to Aurangabad as soon as possible. My return train to Mumbai was from Nasik in midnight at 11.00 pm and Sandeep's Train to Delhi was at 3.00 AM in the morning.  We decided to catch the first bus at 5.00 AM from Trimbakeshwar towards Nasik. We reached Nasik by 6.00 AM and got the bus to Aurangabad immediately. Now Aurangabad is around 200 kms from Nasik. It would take 5 hours to reach Aurangabad .And from Aurangabad Grishneshwar temple is around 35 kms . So It would take around one more hour to reach Grishneshwar from Aurangabad. So We would reach Grishneshwar at around One oclock afternoon. That was in my mind.

In this post, I will cover Legend of Trimbakeshwar, Trimbakeshwar Temple & Jyotirlinga,  Kushavarta pond and Nivruttinath Temple.

Dear Divine Soul Mates,

After reaching down from Brahmagiri Mountain and Gangadwar in the last post the whole atmosphere in Trimbak became pleasant due to heavy downpour. It was still 7.30 PM and we had one and half hour to visit the  destinations remaining in Trimbakeshwar. As there are many destinations in Trimbakeshwar we decided to visit three important destinations among them. All of them are in circumference of one km.

First of all I will start with Trimbakeshwar Temple and Jyotilringa and story behind it.

TRIMBAKESHWAR : Brahmagiri Mountain and Gangadwar

In this post I am covering Brahmagiri Mountain and Gangadwar before Trimbakeshwar jyotirlinga and Kushavarta , beause we visited this mountain first before them, due to shortage of time and light was fading .The Legend of Trimbakeshwar and views of jyotirlinga , Kushavarta and other aspects of Trimbakeshwar I will cover in next post.

Towards Trimbakeshwar

After Trekking Anjaneri mountain , we had two destinations left that is Trek to Brahmagiri mountaun in Trimbakeshwar and visit Trimbakeshwar jyotirlinga and places nearby. Well Trimbakeshwar is a place where Lord Shiva has manisfested himself in form of Swayambhu Jyotirlinga and is one of the 12 jyotirlingas by Adi Guru Shanakaracharya. From Anjaneri village Trimbakeshwar is around 4 kms . One can easily get bus or private vehicle from this point. I have been to Trimbaleshwar more than 5 times and it is my favorite destination since I had become spiritual four years back. Away from crowd on the foot hills of Brahmagiri hills the atmosphere here calm and pleasant for whole 12 months. One can find ample amount if peace here .

When we came here this time it was time of pitra paksha or time for performing shraddha for ancestors. Here they perform a poojas called Narayan Nagbali , Kaalsarpa, and Tripindi shraddha for relieving curses to ancestors, removing Kaalsarpa dosha. I think in whole world this is the only place where all the three poojas are performed. So all the people not only from India but whole world come here on these days to perform these poojas . So finding hotel was a very difficult this time .

Gajanand Maharaj Ashram : The best place to stay in Trimbakeshwar

Generally I stay in Gajanand Maharaj Ashram which has three huge Dharamshalas here with ample amount of space in between. It is located one km away from the Jyotirlinga temple near the Trimbakeshwar Gate and ha excellent facilities . The rooms are fantastic  with a price tag starting at Rs. 175 for a two bed room. The whole complex is very large and has a marble temple of Shree Gajanand Maharaj Shegaon. One gets breakfast at Rs. 6 and Rs. 8 and food at Rs. 25 / plate at subsidized rates But when I reached here I found that this one was full .So whenever one wants to stay at Trimbakeshwar this hotel is best one here . Have a look at some of the pictures of this huge complex
