Dear Divine Souls,

In my last post we saw one and only Lord Brahma Temple in the world. By that time It was 6.30 PM when I finished my walk on the roads of Pushkar  and went to my Hotel Navratan  Palace near Lord Brahma temple and dozed off. I woke up at 8.30 PM and then went to restaurant to have dinner and again went to sleep . We were too tired. Next morning my plan was to trek and visit Savitri Devi temple in the southern direction of Pushkar.

As per legend Goddess Savitri was very upset and annoyed with Lord Brahma as he married Gayatri Devi for performing Yagna without waiting for her. So she established herself on the mountain nearby on the southern side of Pushkar .A  temple of Savitri Devi is constructed here at this place on the mountain. It is said that yatra to Pushkar is incomplete unless you visit Savitri Devi Temple.

Dear Divine Souls

In my last post, I told you some legends regarding Pushkar town and visited Teerthraj Pushkar Sarovar or Pushkar lake. In continuation with my travelogue , I roamed around 2 hours in Pushkar in bazaar and at 6.00 pm finally came to Lord Brahma temple near my hotel. There was lot of rush in this temple, but still I visited this temple . During my stay of around 20 hours in Pushkar I visited this temple 3 times again and again was magnetized by the supreme divine vibrations in this temple . These vibrations were calm giving the feeling its only the Almighty who is omnipresent everywhere and rest everything is just an illusion.

Dear Divine Souls,

After visiting Ajmer Dargah Sharif in my last post it was around 1.00 pm and we headed towards Pushkar. We caught rickshaw near railway station and then proceeded towards Ajmer Bus Station. Pushkar is around 15 km from Ajmer road through hills. There is a legend behind the hills which I will write further. After around 45 minutes we reached the Pushkar bus Station and from bus station we took an auto to hotel called Navratan Palace. This Hotels is right in between the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Sarovar, the two main attractions of Pushkar.

Dear Divine Souls,

In last post we reached Ajmer from Jaipur via Train and reached the shop of Ajmer Dargah. Now lets move forward towards the Dargah. There was huge crowd in this place as it was Sunday. Lot of devotees from all over the world had come to this place to pay their tributes. The whole atmosphere was intense with piousness all leading towards the huge gate of this mighty Dargah. This gate is called Nizam Gate and it was built  by Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan in 1915.

A Dargah is Sufi islamic shrine built over the grave of Sufi Saint. Dargah includes a mosque, meeting rooms, Islamic schools (madrassas), residences for a teacher or caretaker, hospitals, and other buildings for community purposes. Any  dargah  is visited by Muslim pilgrims as well as Hindus and Sikhs as a symbol of intercommunal harmony.

Dear Divine Souls,

It was chilling in Jaipur on 30th December morning 7.30 AM with our jackets and pull overs on. Still super cool biting wind could find the way enough inside to keep us shivering all the time. But we couldn't help it. Our plan was to visit Ajmer Dargah Shariff first and then move on to stay at Pushkar today. We took a six seater auto rickshaw who charged us Rs. 300 to Jaipur Railway Station. In the meantime  we were just having the glance of this Great City Jaipur sitting in the rickshaw. Anyways we had to come next day here but still eyeballs were rolling here and there while travelling to railway station. The roads were wide and fantastic in this stretch.

Dear Divine Souls,

Here I come again with another yatra in my glorious and beautiful India and this time it was Rajasthan , One of the most beautiful places here. The program started with Ajmer and Pushkar and eventually Jaipur was added which got the maximum coverage from our side. So lets start my journey from Mumbai. Normally we ( I and my wife Sonali) plan our journey via trains as we like to travel more on train although it is more time consuming. But wandering by train makes us feel genuine vagabonding rather than reaching the destinations . So we always book our travel via trains. But this time It was Sonali's family who also wanted to visit Ajmer, Pushkar and Jaipur. And we had only 4 days to cover these three places so we decided to go via flight . I and Sonali had been in flight on several ocassions but it was first time for her family and my daughter Aarya . Around mid November I booked 7 tickets from Mumbai to Jaipur on 30 December via Indigo Airlines at 5.40 AM.

Mumbai to Jaipur

Our plan was to go to Jaipur and then go to Ajmer via train. Visit Dargah Sharif and then go to Pushkar  and stay there

30 December 2012, Sunday

On 29 December we didn't sleep because we had to leave our house at 3.30 AM . At 3.00 oclcock I went to take cab and we all proceeded towards Airport .At around 4.00 AM we reached airport one more hour to go. We had already done our web checking through indigo website. So we just had to dump our luggage at the airport and take printed boarding passes. After reaching airport we took some following pictures. Please enjoy pictures of Mumbai's Domestic Airport called Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport.

Dear Divine Souls,

After our visit to Gupt Godavari we took our car return to the central destination of the Chitrakoot Dham called Ramghat. Ramghat is in most pristine part of Chitrakoot.

Chitrakoot Dham and Ramghat's Importance

Chitrakoot is the teerth of all the teerths. According to the Hindu belief Prayagraj (Allahabad) is the king of all teerths , but Chitrakoot Teerth is rated as more elevated than it. When Chitrakoot did not go to him as all the other teerths did, Prayagraj was told that Chitrakoot enjoyed a higher status and it was Prayagraj who was expected to go to Chitrakoot and not vice versa. It is said that Prayagraj teerth comes every year to wash off his sins by bathing in the Payaswini river here in Chitrakoot Dham . It is also said that all the Gods and Goddesses came to Chitrakoot Dham  when LOrd Ram performed the Shraddha ceremony of his father. They were engrossed and mesmerized  by the beauty of the place. Lord Ram's presence there added a spiritual  and blissful  dimension to it. So all of them were unwilling to depart .Sage Vasishtha  the family priest sensing their desire to stay and in accordance with the wishes of Lord Ram forgot to utter the visarjan (departure) mantra. Thus all the gods and goddesses have made this place their permanent abode and are always present there.

  10. CHITRAKOOT DHAM : Janaki Kund, Sati Anusuya Ashram and Gupt Godavari
Dear Divine Souls,

Chitrakoot Dham is not just a small town with temples inside . This Dham is a whole huge area of around 50 to 70 kms in circumference with lot of places where Shri Ram had performed Leela in his exile . Apart from this there were many ashrams of sages and rishis like Atri , Sarbhanga etc. There are lot of places which display the beautiful nature along side with rivers, calmness and serenity. I had only half a day with me to do the darshan of all the places in a hurry which was abig mistake by me while planning . But one who is visiting Chitrakoot should come here to do devotion , relieve all the stress, forget day to day life. I would suggest at least  stay two full days here to experience the magic of nature here. especially after monsoon season where the lush greenery is at maximum.

After completing my trek to Hanuman Dhara , we proceeded to towards our next destination called Janaki Kund in our booked car .

Dear Divine Souls,

After finishing my destination ,Teerthraj Prayag at around 5.00 oclock we headed towards Chitrakoot in our booked car. Chitrakoot is the place where Lord Ram spend most of his time in exile ( eleven and half years) and it was most lovable place by him.The great sage AtriSati AnusuyaDattatreya, Maharshi MarkandeyaSarbhanga,Sutikshna and various other sages, seers, devotees and thinkers meditated; and here the principal trinity of the Hindu pantheon, Brahma,Vishnu and Mahesh, took their incarnations. The whole place is green with vegetation, mountains all around and lot of small river springs meeting Mandakini  river.

आज है चित्रकूट के दर्शन जहा श्री राम अपने १४ साल के वनवास में साडे ११ साल रहे थे . यह जगह उन्हें बहुत प्रिय थी .
